Before Contacting Support
Many questions can be answered quickly by consulting:
- The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- The MDM User Manual
- The Help Cards inside the application
These resources are regularly updated as new features become available.
Reporting a Problem
If you encounter an issue, the quickest thing you can send us is a diagnostic report.
In the application, open Tools → Settings → Copy Diagnostics and paste the result into your email.
It gathers in one tap everything we would otherwise have to ask you for — your MDM version, your iPhone or iPad and its system version, your equipment, connection types, port names and identity state. It does not include your Searchable Instrument Indexes, Pads, Scenes or Setlists.
Then tell us:
• What happened
• What you expected instead
• The steps that reproduce it
If you cannot reach Settings, describe your setup as fully as you can and we will work from that.
Feature Requests
You don’t.
We’ve already thought of everything.
Just kidding.
Many MDM features have been inspired by real-world feedback from guitarists, keyboard players, vocalists and live performers.

A Small Note for Apple Enthusiasts…
No Mac 128Ks were harmed during the development of MIDIDeviceManager.
Although the author did own one.
The project was also not developed using an Apple 800 baud modem…
…although one of those existed too.
Christian developed MIDIDeviceManager using Xcode.
He briefly considered returning to punch cards, just for old times’ sake.
Fortunately, common sense prevailed.
And fortunately, technology has improved slightly since he first started programming.
