MDM reads your preset names directly from an HX Edit backup (a .hxb file) — export the backup from HX Edit, import the .hxb into MDM, and your Pads carry your real preset names with no typing and no SysEx knowledge required. From there, MDM changes presets on the Helix by name, and everything else — Scenes, Setlists, footswitch triggering — works as usual. This has been confirmed in live performance on a full Helix rig.
